Events and Programs<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The PTC hosts or provides support for the following events and programs:<\/p>\n

Open House<\/strong>
\nFarmingdale can’t wait to greet your students in August! \u00a0Drop off your school supplies and meet your new teacher and classmates!<\/p>\n

Fall Car<\/strong>\"14915393_1548236985216966_6679353515948509642_n\"nival<\/strong>
\nJoin PTC for a fun family day at the Farmingdale Fall Carnival. \u00a0Bounce houses, carnival games, balloons, prizes, raffle, food, and more!<\/p>\n

Trunk or Treat<\/strong>
\nLooking for a fun and safe trick-or-treating event? \u00a0The PTC hosts an annual Trunk or Treat in the parking lot of Farmingdale Elementary. \u00a0Come in costume and bring the whole family! \u00a0You can also decorate your trunk, pass out candy, and compete for a “best trunk” prize!<\/p>\n

Family Fun Nights<\/strong>
\nLooking for something fun to do in the evenings and weekends? \u00a0The PTC hosts multiple Family Fun Nights throughout the year. \u00a0Past events include Glow Golf, Skateland, Chuck E. Cheese, Outdoor Movie Night, and Rockin’ Night Maze at Bomke’s Pumpkin Patch!<\/p>\n

Family Reading Night<\/strong>
\nTrying to raise a reader? \u00a0Come out for Family Reading Nights to hear award-winning authors present amazing children’s books.<\/p>\n

Class Parties<\/strong>
\nEvery kid loves a party! \u00a0PTC members put on 3 school parties each year – fall, winter, and Valentine’s Day. \u00a0Crafts, games, and themed snacks make for a great celebration!<\/p>\n

Summer<\/strong> Reading Challenge<\/strong>\"img_2353\"
\nDon’t let your kids say, “I’m bored!” this summer! \u00a0Over the summer break, have your child log their reading minutes on the provided form. \u00a0In August, all students who meet the goal will receive prizes, with top readers earning special recognition!<\/p>\n

Young Authors’ Reception<\/strong>
\nThe purpose of the Young Author Program is to encourage students’ writing, reading, listening, and sharing skills by creating their very own books. \u00a0The PTC helps support this program by hosting a reception for all the young authors and their families in the spring.<\/p>\n

Teacher\/Staff Appreciation<\/strong>
\nWe LOVE our Farmingdale staff and we try to show them how much we appreciate their work during Teacher Appreciation week, and throughout the whole year!<\/p>\n

Teacher Grant Program
\n<\/strong>Our grant committee reviews educational learning grant proposals from teachers and awards grants to help improve the educational experience in our school.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Multicultural Week
\n<\/strong>This is always a fun and educational week for students in the spring!\u00a0 PTC helps support teacher and administrative efforts to help students learn about cultures around the world.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fundraising<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Fall Fundraiser<\/strong> is a great opportunity for students to get involved in sales for their school! \u00a0Each fall, the PTC will send home a fundraiser packet and order form. \u00a0This is a great time to stock up on holiday gifts!<\/p>\n

The PTC A<\/strong>\"17342839_1745729588801037_5520547365091624417_n\"uction<\/strong> is held in the spring. \u00a0Come join your Farmingdale family and friends for a fun adult night out with music, food, and a live and silent auction.<\/p>\n

With the money from these two fundraisers, PTC is able to give money directly to teachers for educational support, purchase playground equipment, and much more.\u00a0 Additionally, the PTC supports the programs and events listed above!<\/p>\n


\nAdditional fundraisers: <\/strong><\/h2>\n

School Spiritwear<\/strong> – Look for order forms to come home. \u00a0These make great Christmas and birthday gifts. \u00a0Support the Cardinals!<\/p>\n

School Store
\n<\/strong>Students can stop by the school store once a week to purchase erasers, pens, notepads, and other school supplies.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Book Drive\/Used Book Sale
\n<\/strong>Used children’s books can be donated to the school and are then sold before the Family Reading Event.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Texas Roadhouse Giftcard Sales and Dine to Donate<\/strong><\/p>\n

Additional fundraisers with local businesses are held throughout the year. \u00a0Help us support these businesses and raise money for our school!<\/p>\n
