PTC committees arrange numerous special events each school year. A summary of annual events is listed below.

Wiener Roast
PTC welcomes Farmingdale families back to school with an annual wiener roast in conjunction with Farmingdale's Open House.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation
At Christmas and in the Spring, PTC sponsors teacher/staff appreciation luncheons to honor the faculty and staff that assist Farmingdale students throughout the year.

Young Authors' Reception
Encourage your child to submit a story for Farmingdale's celebration of young authors. PTC assists Farmingdale Elementary school to honor young author participants and awards grade level prizes.

Spring Fling
Join Farmingdale families for games, activities, refreshments and silent and live auctions during this all-day event.

Summer Reading Challenge
Each summer, PTC challenges Farmingdale students to read a minimum of 360 minutes over the summer. PTC awards prizes to all participants who meet the challenge. Additional prizes are awarded to top readers.

Each year PTC compiles a Farmingdale student directory. Inclusion of each student's information is voluntary and directories are available free to Farmingdale families. In 2005-06, PTC will sponsor Farmingdale's share of a districtwide student directory.
